EduPrep Academy is thoughtful about everything we do — including how we handle the information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, what we do not do with it, and the rights you have over your information.
We only collect what we actually need.
EduPrep Academy collects information in a few specific ways. We are intentional about this — we do not collect data just to have it. Below is the complete list of information we currently collect.

We do not collect payment card numbers directly — those are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our systems. We do not collect information about your finances, employment, social media accounts, location, or browsing behavior outside our website.
Used to serve you, not to profit from you.
Information we collect is used only for the purposes described below. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, sell to data brokers, or engage in behavioral tracking for commercial purposes.
To respond to inquiries. When you contact us, we use your name and contact information to reply personally — usually within 24 hours.
To communicate with enrolled families. Once your kid is enrolled, we use contact information to share schedules, updates, and information relevant to their experience.
To coordinate visits and meetings. We use scheduling information through Calendly to book and confirm visits.
To process payments. If you give to the school or pay tuition, Stripe processes that transaction and sends you a receipt.
To fulfill our administrative obligations. Student records are maintained as required by applicable state law for the duration of enrollment.
We built EduPrep to see students as whole people — not data points. That philosophy extends to how we treat your information.
The handful of tools we use.
We use a small number of third-party services to operate this website and school. Each of these services has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles your data. We've named them all here so you can review their policies directly.

Powers our contact and inquiry forms. Receives the information you submit through forms on this site.

Student records are yours, not ours to share.
FERPA principles. EduPrep Academy is a private school and may not be legally subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which applies primarily to schools receiving federal Department of Education funding. Regardless, we voluntarily follow the privacy principles FERPA establishes:
Parents and eligible students have the right to inspect and review education records we maintain.
You have the right to request correction of records you believe are inaccurate or misleading.
We will not disclose education records to outside parties without written consent from the parent or eligible student, except in limited circumstances permitted by law or required for the school to operate.
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information through our site, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
Enrolled students are minors. All student data is handled through direct school operations and through communications with parents or legal guardians — not through online collection from students themselves.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information.
EduPrep Academy uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Access to personal information is limited to staff members who need it to perform their roles. We do not store sensitive financial information directly — Stripe handles that on our behalf.
No system is completely secure. While we take your privacy seriously and work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
How long we keep information:
Inquiry and contact form data is retained until your inquiry is resolved and for a reasonable period thereafter.
Student records are retained for the duration of enrollment and as required by Alabama law following graduation or withdrawal.
Payment and giving records are retained per Stripe's data retention practices and as required for our own accounting and tax purposes.
You have rights over your information.
Regardless of where you live, we are committed to treating your privacy rights with respect. You may request any of the following at any time by contacting us:
Access. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction. You may request that we correct information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.
Deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and operational obligations to retain certain records.
Opt-out of communications. You may unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any communication that offers one.
Student record rights. Parents and eligible students have the rights described in Section 04 regarding student records.
We will respond to all valid requests within a reasonable timeframe — typically within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
